Can I flavor store bought butter cream icing?
If you must use store bought. I would just add extract or juice or whatever. If you add too much, you might have to add more powdered sugar.
I've tried with the Wilton canned BC and just plain grocery store icing.
My problem: Both icings are very soft and adding coloring made them more runny. I tried adding powder sugar but for me it didn't work. I couldn't get the icing to a constistancy where I could decorate with it.
The icing I am using is CK brank butter cream icing from my local decorator store.
