Note to self
When attempting viva method for first time.......
1. Make sure you have unpatterned paper towel - I now have attractive honeycomb superman!!
2. If the worst happens and you use said petterned paper towel, do not attempt to repair the damage with greaseproof paper! Yes i was that desperate, and now I have honeycomb superman missing his vital organs.........

There's a person in my town who actually uses the honeycomb patterned towels on cakes deliberately and proudly...My kids saw one of their ads with the paper towel pattern all over the cake and just about died laughing. Even 9 and 12-yr-olds can see that it isn't quite right...

OH GOOD GRIEF!! How frustrating for you Murf! Poor little superman missing some important parts of his anatomy!! icon_cry.gif

Actually, sometimes I think that patterned towels look neat if you do it on purpose on a cake where it's 'called for'. In other words, not on Superman! hahaha!

The person I mentioned before does it consistently on wedding cakes. Not the best place for it, IMO!

Yah, I agree! It's more of a 'party cake' look really!
