I had someone request "dark chocolate frosting" and she emphasized dark. I have a regular chocolate BC recipe, and I saw the "double chocolate buttercream icing" recipe here on CC, but I don't think this is what they're looking for. My only other idea is a ganache, but I need something that crusts and gets smooth. Help!!!! icon_surprised.gif

An easy way to get "dark" chocolate frosting is to substitute Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate cocoa in your favorite crusting cocoa-based recipe. icon_smile.gif

This is what the can looks like:

Here's Toba Garrett's chocolate b/c recipe:
(Made with chocolate ganache.)

(To make dark chocolate, substitute extra dark cocoa for that called for in the recipe. Chocolate syrup can be substituted for the chocolate liqueur, and bittersweet chocolate used for ganche.)
