I'm making a cake with black fondant zebra stripes on top of BC and was wondering if the stripes will bleed onto the BC? I'd like to finish this the night before it has to be delivered. Thanks!
You really shouldn't have any issues unless it's warm and the icing draws the color from the fondant. If you can refrigerate - this will help. Or keep it in a very cool place and you won't have any issues. Also, you can minimize the amount of black coloring you'd have to use if you were to use chocolate fondant. It's already dark so it'll help. Good Luck!
I made a zebra cake a few weeks ago and kept it in the fridge. There was no bleeding whatsoever.
it will bleed into the icing if the icing hasn't dried.
