Can someone tell me the difference between fondont and gumpaste ,can I make flowers for a wedding cake with fondont? icon_biggrin.gif

Yes...you can make flowers with fondant, but I prefer gumpaste. The gumpaste allows me to make the petals thinner because gumpaste is more pliable.

You can make flowers with fondant, but gumpaste is better.

It is a stronger paste which can be rolled ultra thin to get realistic petals and is easier to work with.
Gumpaste will also set hard, so once the flowers are made they will last an age.
They will be more fragile though so a bit more care is needed!! icon_biggrin.gif
