Hi,
Watching your post as I was interested in the 'rolled buttercream' also so I had a google and found a couple of recipes:

http://www.wrenscottage.com/kitchen/recipes/icing/rolledbutter.php

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Rolled-Buttercream-Fondant/Detail.aspx

also one on CC with 4 stars icon_smile.gif

Do you know if it's easier to mold than fondant?? icon_confused.gif

Hi! I use RBC a lot for my cookies...people love them. The recipe I use is identical to the CC recipe linked in the post above. I have lots of cookies in my photos that I decorated with RBC. I have even done a cake with it...and won't use it again for a cake. It is not sturdy like fondant. It stretches and tears easily. It does work nicely on cupcakes!

One trick that I have learned through trial and error is to use cornstarch to roll it out with...not powdered sugar as my recipe calls for. I also use a silicone mat to roll it out on.

I hope you give this a try. It is fun to work with! Good luck!
