Hello! I got the nerve up to make a purse cake from an oval shaped pan.
I just want to know if anyone has any suggestions on getting it to stand upright. Do I just make the bottom of the cake flat or what? Also How do I cover both sides? Thanks guys, I know you'll come through for me!

here's a tutorial on a purse cake.. you could probably apply the same techniques to your oval
