I need to make and organic cake and the customer also wants natural food colourings, can anyone give me some tips on how to make alternatives.

I've found a couple on the net pink-green-yellow.

do you think I could use licorice to turn icing grey????

thanks Monique

Hi Monique -- there was a thread recently discussing this. Some thoughts were to use chocolate (brown), vanilla (ivory), berry juices (reds, blues) and a site that sold organic colorings.

Here's the link: http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-582950-natural.html+coloring

Hope this helps. icon_smile.gif

Thank you for the link, I did try searching for this with the search function but I didn't come up with anything, obviously I searched the wrong thing. icon_redface.gif

No problem -- I had to type in a few different terms to find it too.
