I am wanting to have a go at making mmf but the only marshmallows i can find are the mixed bags of white and pink. This is fine if i am going to colour my mmf but i just want it white. Does anyone know where i can buy bags of white marshmallows. I know i can sort through the bag and just pick out the white ones but the amount i would have to buy would work out to be expensive.

I feel for you - it's the same here! Unless I want to go to the expat shop and spend 5 euros for a 200g bag from the US - I don't think so! The UK is awash with decent pre-made fondant (there is a new one by British Sugar or someone, I believe it's wonderful to work with and tastes much nicer than Regalice), I would just stick with that if I were you lol!

Edited to add: the new sugarpaste is on the home page here - great price too if you buy in bulk (and they usually last 12 months unopened, so worth doing!):

I always buy my bags at the Sligro (in the Netherlands that is), they're kinda expencive but so is the nasty tasting Bakels fondant....

Hi sasporella, yes, you can buy them from Sainsbury's. Its on the cake isle. They have the pink and white mixed one and the all white one as well. Its the small marshmellows. I made MMF with it.

Good Luck!

Too true! It's cheaper at a bakery wholesaler though! Have you tried the sugarpaste from Bellina sold by: http://www.deleukstetaartenshop.nl/index.php?cPath=53_75 - it comes in either vanilla or chocolate flavour (both white), and it is really delicious and nicer to work with than Bakels!

Also, this place sells ready made marshmallow fondant and it is really yummy too:

same here, can't find just bags of white.

I buy the pink and whites and make 2 batches of fondant, one pink and one white. The pink I keep for girls cakes and christenings!

Don't use the marshmallow cocktail ones (yellow pink and green) vile things and don't ask me how I know that!
