Ok, CC'rs - help me with this recipe. I have a mother that wants a cake for her daughter and she wants it with pink cake and strawberry filling. I am thinking of doing a strawberry cake with a strawberry jam and sliced strawberry filling between the layers. Does this sound like an ok thing? Can anyone think of anything that might not work with this idea. Thanks,

Happy Caking,
Em

Sometimes real strawberries can get kind of mushy. I use the pie filling you can buy at a cake shop or at the grocery store. Hope this helps.

You might want to mix the strawberry jam/preserves with your buttercream icing and use that for the filling. HTH
