Hello...

I am just starting out in my "Cake Decorating Adventures" and need some advice. I want to do a cake for my nephew's birthday and one of the things he wants on his cake is a replica of a jar from a pc game. I thought now would be a great time to expand my skills and work with a new product. If anyone has some good tricks or just simple "do's and don'ts" I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks in advance,

Teresa

Hey, Teresa:
Do you want to model it w/ candy clay? I've found that kneading in a bit of Tylose will help the clay to set up better. Don't overwork the clay as it tends to get a bit greasy (that's happened to me several times!)
