Hi,
I took course 2 last year and I can't remember how many servings those oval pans are. Anyone know??

A friend of mine wants me to do a cake for her (a small cake she said) to feed about 10.

Just wondering how much this would serve!

Thanks!

The oval pans (only available in Student Kit #2) are 7-3/4 x 5-5/8".

To make a layer cake you will need 5 cups of cake batter: 2-1/2 cups of batter for each pan.

The resulting layer cake should yield 9 party size servings of 1-1/2x2x4 according to the Wilton chart:

thanks so much! icon_biggrin.gif

What would you charge someone for this? I am going to do a basket weave and then I am making some chocolate butterflies for it. I really don't know what to charge! Do you think that $30 or $35 is too much? She also wants me to deliver - is $10 unrealistic! I have to bring my 2 kids with me (both still in car seats), find parking etc....

I never know what I should charge!

Can't help with pricing, I don't sell cakes.
