Would like to find out if anyone has had success with making the house bc recipe from The Whimsical Bakehouse book. Would like to know if you follow the directions exactly and get good results, especially making roses. This is the recipe I am especially interested in!!! It hasn't worked for me or a few others. Anyone?
I had great success with that recipe--I followed the instructions exactly and it came out great--I didn't try to make roses, but I did do some cupcakes with ruffles to make them look like flowers. It was a dream to work with--can't wait to make it again!
Would you be willing to share the recipe? I would love to try it.
I really like the House BC a lot. It's almost like whip cream. Yes you can make roses out of it but it is a soft BC. It's very similiar in texture to Kaye's BC which is an Italian Meringue BC and is my main choice of BC.
I make the House BC for kids cakes or someone who wants a sweeter BC.
