i'm making a cake with an infra structure of pvc piping...I may need some "bulk" around areas not big enough for cake.

My question is "Is the rice krispy treat recipe the same as the treats on the cereal box?... or is it slightly different ?

Yep I use the same recipe, although I might use a LITTLE bit less cereal. That makes it nice and pliable so that you can work with it longer.
