Topsy Turvy Cake

How do I make a TOPSY TURVY cake? Is there a cake pan that is used or do you cut the cakes yourself? All the ones I've seen - seem to have the same look. Also, how are they assembled?

You cut the cakes yourself. There is a tutorial in the article section that might help you.
