Lots of ideas in Galleries, (I have 2) or the one I did not post was a volcano planet with Anakin & ObeOne (toys)fighting,I used the mini doll pans for volcanos and lots of red, orange, and yellow frosting for the lava.
Or look into a coloring book of star wars and copy or free hand any ideas.
If your 6 year old is anything like my 3 anything SW will make them happy.
Good Luck and Post when you are done.

Star Wars is HOT again! For 6 year olds, I'd Google Lego Star Wars for ideas. There's a Lego Star Wars PS2/PS3 game that is great for that age group. There are lots of good Star Wars and Lego Star Wars cakes in the gallery here to, so be sure to searc those. Don't know how detailed you want to get ... fondant/bc, etc ... but it really can be a fun thing to do. I've got an R2-D2 cake in my photos and it really wasnt that hard! (I'm pretty much a beginner w/ no classes).
