Hello everybody,
I'm doing a "zoo" theme cake for a 3 year old and her favorite animal is Giraffe. I want to use Giraffe as a topper on the cake....
Can anybody pass me the directions on how to make it ??

Thanks in advance.

I've never made a giraffe but if you look in the galleries under 3-d figures or animals I know I've seen some there. Maybe if there are no intructions, just looking at one would help you to model one. Sorry I can't be more help but good luck. Your idea sounds so cute.

Hi ,when I did my little giraffe, (see my 1 year cake in my photos) I made a ball of paste, then gradually molded the neck and body. I added the head afterwards and secured with a piece of spagetti in then neck.
I found it easier to make him lying down and just put legs on the side of him.
Then just added the little extras like ears, bit of a mane on top of head and spots and big eyes!!

If you try and make it so it looks more as a 'fun' item rather than too realistic, it is a bit easier to achieve.

Let us know how you get on.
