my springs form pans leak....why? what can i do about it????
thanks for any advice
My springform cake pans leak too, unless I'm baking something with a crust. You can make a little foil dam around the edge of the pan, to help it seal tighter. I only tried baking a cake in one once, because I needed a 10" and didn't have a round pan that size. The foil trick worked...but after that I went and bought a couple of 10" rounds because I discovered that I really liked making that size of cake.
If you're trying to bake a cheesecake in it and it's leaking, bring your crust up to cover the join in the pan, and maybe a little further, and it won't leak.
thats a great idea!Thank you. i'm going to try that.
