Can anyone tell me the best way to stick fondant embellishments onto BC?? I've worked mostly with fondant, so I'm at a bit of a loss when I have to do BC cakes. TIA!

Just a little smear of bc on the back of your embellishment should do it. thumbs_up.gif

Or adhere the embelishment after smoothing the BC while it is in between wet and crsted. That way the BC will not soak the embellishment, hope this helps.

or using a paint brush lightly coat the back of the fondant w/ water then apply to BC iced cake.

I don't think you need anything to stick fondant to BC. You just place the fondant in place.

Good luck.

Yes, wet the fondant piece where you want to stick it. That should do it.

Sometimes I want it to look as if the embellishment is coming out of the buttercream. In that case, I push the embellishment into the buttercream before it crusts.

Good luck.
