I got this invitation for a baby shower and would like to copy the design onto the cake. The cake will be covered in a pastel blue MMF and I would like the circle design in chocolate brown. I plan on making a 3 tiered round cake, not sure what size rounds yet. What would you recommend?

Here's the invitation link:

I think I would "paint" the circles onto the cake to mimic the invite.

That would take a steady hand, which I certainly don't have icon_cry.gif

I did this dummy cake. I think it goes with the concept of the invite.

I used the Wilton fondant circle cutters.

Could you use the circle cutters with a food writer? I haven't tried it, but maybe you could "color" the circle cutter edges and press into the fondant?

leckieAnne - taht's a good idea! And it wouldn't have to be perfect in the lines, because the invite isn't either.

I was thinking a similar concept. Impress the circle into the fondant and then trace the impression with a super fine paintbrush or a food writer.
