Could someone please share with me how they make their monograms on their Wedding Cakes? Is it better to do it on butter cream or on fondant? I have never done one and now the bride insists I have a fancy monogram. Please give me your "professional" opinions.
Is it going on top of the cake or piped on the side of the cake?
It is going on the side of their cake, which will be a four layer hexagonal, done in the Dotted Swiss fashion.
It can be done on either. You can print out a font you like and use the pin prick method to transfer it to the side of the cake. Indydebi has done several so you might pm her and see how she does it.
