Does anyone out there know of a Lavendar cake recipe? My sister is requesting one for her wedding.
Would you just make a white cake and add lavendar oil or the dried herb? I've never tasted it, but she has and loved it. (Myself I can only imagine it tasting like soap... but to each their own.)
I would really appreciate any ideas on this.
Thanks in advance!

Hi and Welcome, aarl622. icon_smile.gif

Lavender-Lemon bundt cake recipe:

It would seem you could add the dried lavender flowers to any scratch or cake mix/doctored cake mix recipe.

I would recommend the WASC cake as it's a very reliable and moist recipe:

Using DH white cake mixes, a full recipe yields a tad over 14 cups of batter which is great when baking larger tiers, or multiple small tiers.

Of course, you'd want to omit the almond and vanilla flavorings and use the lavender flowers and lemon extract or zest.
