I had some cake scraps left over from a weekend of baking, so I decided to try my hand at cake balls.

I used Cookieman's recipe. Half my scraps were chocolate so I halved the amount of cocoa, and I didn't have any almonds or amaretto so I subbed Andes mint chocolate chips (yummy) and rum instead.

They are so rich I could only eat half of one, but I took some to my sister's and the rest to work and everyone went CRAZY over them.

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas, I'll never throw away my scraps again!

Sounds like a great idea. How do you do the cake balls?

I found the recipe in this thread: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-5415-cake.html+balls

They're a really easy way to use up all that extra cake.
