This is one of my recent cakes that I am particularly proud of. I don't have a lot of experience with fondant and only use it for accents, but I was really proud of this cake. Hat, silouettes and lasso were fondant. Everything else b/c. I've been a little disappointed by the lack of comments but I'm getting used to it. Not sure this link will work.
I love the hippo cake and the others are also beautiful.

My latest cake was an electric guitar and I love how it turned out. I also made a Fenway Park cake that I am pretty happy with.

This Halloween cake is my favorite. I love the Peanuts Gang and so does my best friend's 5 year old son...he really wanted this theme for their yearly Halloween bash. I loved doing it...it was my first time with chocolate transfers- lots of fun
But, I didn't like the bulge I got on the top layer...this was pre-Sugarshack Buttercream DVD
Thanks for looking

I haven't seen a thread like this in a while. Lots of great cakes! My favorites are SugarPlumFairy's and Pastryjen's tiaras...beautiful!!! I'm torn as to my favorites. My daughter's wedding cake will always have a special place in my heart. That said, I think the best cake I've ever created was the one I did for Colette Peter's class. It was my first topsy turvey cake too.

Here is a picture of my favorite cake. I liked it because it was totally my original design. I did't use any other persons cake for inspiration. All I used was the picture of a Mary Engelbrite class bowl that a cc member sent me.
O.k. I guess the last picture did't post. I admit I am computer challenged. Let's try another one.
Here is a picture of the cake central wedge cake that I did. You know the little cake wedge cake at the top of cc. I always thought it was so cute so I tried to copy it using mmf. Let's see if I can get it to post.
My new favorite from this past weekend. The rose colors and how they compliment the fondant band. I love this cake more every time I look at it!

And my second new favorite, as I have been decorating so long and have never done the lid thing so well. I was pumped!

I love these kind of treads! The first cake was a huge hit, and so much fun to make that it became one of my favorites and the second one was my first official real tier cake so it is also one of my favorites! TFL

I've only done four cakes, but I was really proud of this one:
I know it doesn't have the correct number of strings, but it was for my 6 year old niece and I figured she wouldn't hold me over the coals for it!
I made that cake last weekend and then last night I made one that is so awful I won't even post it!!
Living and learning....but you all inspire me!!!!!![/img]
Probably these two

Ok, I've already posted one of my favs. But after this weekend I have a new one. I was kindof upset that it wasn't viewed more. I thought I done a great job on it! Kindof bursted my bubble I guess.
2 teir both tiers were Marble cake. Bottom had a peanut butter filling. Covered in MMF. Animals, rocks, baby was made out of MMF. Waterfall was made out of cake and icing. Thanks for everyones inspiration on this one!
TFL!
