I just tried making a strawberry cake with the WASC recipe. only used 1 cup water and added 1/3 cup mashed strawberries.What a flop!!!!!! the middle was sunk in. Does anyone have a recipe adding mashed strawberries but no strawberry jello because Im using the strawberry cake mix???
Well, this is a scratch recipe....but it's pretty darn good.
I take frozen strawberries and chop them up in my food processor (would definitely work with fresh too, just haven't had access to any nice looking ones before now). Then I add those to the batter. I don't use any additional sugar however.
