My son's baptism is coming up and I'm going to make a cake. I love these two cakes by gwu90 and want to do something similar:

I love the bottom borders, but I have no idea what tip was used or how to execute that at all. I PMed her, but I seem to have problems with people not receiving my messages icon_sad.gif Anyway, can anyone tell me how to do that!? dunce.gif

I think it is a simple rose tip with the point going out, like you would pipe a skinny pansy petal., I have done borders like this. Just turn the tip up or and an outwards angle and move your hand in an in and out motion, not too sharp or it will zig zag. Like you are making a series of cursive "u"s. . Very close to the cake.

That's kinda what I thought when I saw the pics, but I haven't used my petal tips yet icon_redface.gif Do you have know which petal tip would work best, size wise, to get this specific border? I feel like I'm asking such dumb questions icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

Hey, we all had to start somewhere!
Use a 104.
