I love to to the WASC. It is my favorite recipe--I am so used to making it that I don't even read the recipe anymore. Today, however, I should have used the recipe. I was in the middle of mixing, when dear daughter and hubby came in and needed my help counting tickets for baseball practice--and it couldn't wait!!! I stopped, helped them, finished mixing--got the cake in the oven. Then I realized I had left out the 4 tlbs. of oil. OMG! Do I need to snatch the cake out of the oven and start over? Help please!!!

I forgot the sourcream once and it was fine, just more mix like. Your cake should be fine. The sourcream will take care of you.

I literally just did this myself today. And it tasted fine! I was just now in the pantry, and through, I forgot the oil! But, I tasted the scraps, and no problems.
