I have a cake to do for a girl who just got married about 3 months ago and never had a bridal shower or even a "real" wedding cake so someone is putting together a bridal shower for her but they want a "real" wedding cake for her. They say there will be about 40-60 people there. Does anyone have any really good ideas on a cute and simple but elegant wedding cake? Oh, and they want to give me a recipe for the flavor of cake they want---some kind of italian cream or something like that. Any ideas?

do a mini wedding cake. 4, 6, 8 double layers. I just did one for a bridal shower and it turned out really cute. I kept the decoration simple (dots) and kept it white on white. Then they bought fresh flowers for the top. They sent me a picture with the flowers and it really looked great!
