Basketweave With Cream Cheese Frosting???

I was thinking about making my girlfriend a cake that I found in the forum here. It's a basket cake with sunflowers. But she wants red velvet cake, and red velvet just isn't the same without cream cheese frosting. Do you think I could pull off a basketweave with this frosting? I've never tried... thanks for your input.

I did my C2 cake and an Easter cake with cream cheese frosting (carrot cakes...yum!)
it works fine with the basket weave. but as the frosting warms up it gets softer, so I needed to put it in the frig to cool, and I worked in smaller batches...
