I know this is a stupid question but I just have no idea. I am filling a cake with whipped cream topped with fresh strawberries and am wondering how long it can sit out of the fridge before going bad. I'm throwing a baby shower tomorrow and just want to make sure I don't let it sit out too long.

According to the health dept classes I attended something like that has a TOTAL time out of frig of 4 hrs. That included the time you are working on the cake.
