I am making a whole batch of fondant in my Kitchenaid right now. I kepp adding black to the MMF and the more I add the worse the texture gets! It isn't sticking together and it looks awful. What can I do to get it back to it's original consistency?
Probably too late for you now, but it's much easier to add the color to the melted MM. When you add a lot of to the finished product, you'll need to compensate by adding more powdered sugar.
Maybe next time you can try by starting with chocolate fondant, so that it isn't that hard to achieve the black color.
