Okay, I am really not liking this bride. 3 weeks until her wedding and now she decides that she only needs 150 servings not 200. Well, I already bought all the plates and boards to construct this cake (lesson learned for future - don't buy equipment too early). I purchased an 8" square bakery craft SPS plate that was suppose to go under a 10" cake drum which the 8" square cake would sit. Since I had to change the cake sizes I will be using a 12" round cake. Do I need to buy another plate that is closer to the size of the cake or will the 8" square I have be okay?

All the cakes will be on cake drums so none of the SPS plates will be seen and they will be seperated by 5" pillars.
