Question For Those Who Worked At Dairy Queen!

I was wondering if they tend to ice the outside of their icecream cakes with their buttercream??? then comb them.
I noticed at one location i was at it looked like all they did was try to comb the out side of the frozen icecream and it didn't look very nice.
just curious.
thanks
I don't work there but I know the lady that makes the whipped buttercream (at least for the local stores). Her name is Dixie and her web site is http://www.dixiesicing.com/ She has worked there off and on for many years and I'm sure she'd be happy to answer your question. I've taken classes from her and she is so nice and very helpfull.
I worked there doing the cakes when I was a teenager. the outer layer that is combed is ice cream or at least it was when i was doing it. the whipped cream was only used for accents.
