Need Help With Cake

A groom wants a cake that looks like a giant reese' peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cake inside. anyone know of a really good recipe and any ideas on how to make cake look like a pb cup i tried molding chocolate and what a mistake maybe fondant what do you think?

I randomly stumbed upon this website yesterday and thought of your post. Technically, it isn't a cake, but it's still a fun idea and might give you some ideas.

Maybe you could bake the cake in a deep tart pan. Tart pans have fluted edges that flare out towards the top, the same shape as a Reese's. A store like Kitchen Kapers would probably have a pan like this. This might mean buying a new pan, but I always love an excuse to buy new pans!!

The baked cake would be the same shape as the peanut butter cup. You could even split it into layers if you wanted a filling (peanut butter mousse would be awesome!). Then you could crumb coat the whole thing in chocolate buttercream and then cover it with chocolate fondant or modeling chocolate.

My mouth is watering. I'm on a low-carb diet and Reese's are one of my favorites!!!! thumbs_up.gif
