Hello all! I just flat out cant afford a cake plateau and I was wondering what creative alternatives you have used before that I could possibly make or buy....

any advice would be great!

garden stands for planters. they are all over right now with spring coming.

I did a cake this weekend, the planner had a large acrylic "box" that they partially filled with petals and used as a plateau. interesting. It is the first cake in my photos.

You can use a styro cake dummy and cover it cleverly with material.

yes. I saw containers like that at the container store and they also have them online. There was a 4" round cylinder in the center of the box to give extra support for the cake...like a piece of clear pvc. it wouldn't even have to be clear if you are putting petal around it and cake on top
