Quick question. How do you get fondant to turn the right color. I have been trying to get the right color consistency and it takes forever. Is there a trick out there? Please help. I am making a bouquet with butterfly/spring/birthday type cookies for my daughter's friend. Any help will be appreciated.

either you can buy Satin Ice which comes in many colors or use americolor and use a few drops and knead it in a ziplock bag

Just add a little color at a time until you get what you want. If it gets really sticky you can add a little crisco, that helps cut down on the stickiness. HTH
