If you are like me, I always end up with left over Peeps after Easter!! If you don't know what to do with them, and are at the point of not being able to eat another one, do what I do!
I gather my kids, and neighbor's kids for that matter, and we put them in our microwave! If you haven't done this before, it's pretty neat. Just put one at a time, on a plate, and turn the microwave on! They GROW, to the size of a small chicken! It's so funny! They shrink back down quite a bit after the microwave goes off but it's fun to watch them grow before your eyes! Give the kids some graham crackers and let them dip them in the warm peeps. My kids love this... and I look forward to it each year!
I am so totally going to do this with my kids when they return home from school today. Thanks for adding this smile to my Monday! I hope you had a Happy Easter!!
no no no....
set them on fire! -- like you do marshmallows at a campfire!
they burn so pretty!
Doug........ ya worry me!

The only way to eat them!
Off to experimenting with my peeps now!
Put it on a stick, melt some of that 1lb. chocolate bunny , dip it in the choc. and voila!: Peeps Marshmallow Pop!
Might have to do a couple of dips to get it covered good over the sugar though...
There's a new book that just came out called Peeps-Recipes and Crafts To Make With Your Favorite Marshmallow by Charity Ferreira and Liz Wolfe. I just got a copy, it's got some cute ideas for using them on cakes and cupcakes.

Ok.... ok.... ok.... phew! I had visions of a sinister laugh as a peep met it's firey demise!
I remember last year after Easter my then BF brought over several packages of Peeps and informed me that we were going to have Peep Wars (a "tradition" in his fam). This was a new concept to me. If I remember correctly, you stick a toothpick in the front of each one and have it sticking out. You then place your Peeps (each person chooses a different color) facing each other on a paper plate and put them in the microwave. As the microwave makes them grow bigger, they "fight" (aka start pushing each other around as they grow) and whoever's Peep causes the other one to fall, wins. Um yeah, easily entertained! Like I said this was a new one to me...I thought it was a pretty funny "use" of Peeps!
I kept expecting somebody to mention this site: http://www.peepresearch.org/
It's what happens when you put a box of harmless, helpless Peeps into the hands of science geeks with way too much time (and fancy equipment) on their hands.
It's my absolute favorite and might give you some other good, devious ideas!
Those little beasties hatch in Bethlehem, PA, which is the city next to where I live.
