Mmf-Help (Cake Finished)

Trying to make MMF it is soupy even though I put a little more powdered sugar in the mix. What did I do wrong. and can I fix it.

What recipe did you use? That might help if you post the recipe. I've seen different versions.

I've heard of it being sticky, but never really soupy. Perhaps you could cut back on the water?

how much and what liquids do you put in the MMF in your recipe?

and you only put two tablespoons of water in it? I don't have any idea what would make it soupy if that's all the liquid you used.

This is the mini recipe. Perhaps if you're going to play around you could try that. I've made it many times and it turned out well.

1 cup mini marshmallows
1 tbsp water
1 1/2- 1 3/4 cup powder sugar

I don't know why it's turining out soupy for you though. Sorry.

Thank you all for your help. I believe I put too much water into the mixture. redid it and it came out okay. Trying to do too much at one time lol. icon_biggrin.gif

try baking a cake, making royal icing, and icing the cake then making the MMF. within two hours. needed it for my Course III class for wilton. ha ha icon_lol.gif Also thank you jackie for the site. I have looked at many times. this is what happens when I am doing too many things at once.

icon_biggrin.gif See ! the step by step instructions says use Cornstach..not Crisco..I just can't see how Crisco would be better...that;s just me icon_smile.gif
