My mixer died....well, more like, it was killed! icon_surprised.gif My husband was using it to bake a cake for the Men's Bake-off @ church. He somehow wedged a wooden spoon between the beaters!!!!! icon_confused.gif Now my red KA that I've only had about a year, is dead. icon_cry.gif

Now I have to get a new mixer. I remember someone posting something about a mixer from JC Penney that was even better than KA. Does anyone remember the name of it?

If you've only had it for about a year, what about the warranty? Maybe you can get it fixed?

Amazon had one for 149 today. It is a heavy duty 5 qt bowl lift model.

I'd seriously be thinking about replacing the husband along with the KA LOL

I have a 10 year old "classic" that is going strong, so it's probably a worthwhile investment just to get it fixed - barring any more incidents, it should last you many years.

If it is only a year old, it may not be worth it to get it fixed, might want to price it out just in case. But if it was an older model you definitly should get it repaired. BUt they just don't make 'em like they uesd to.

You can certainly find them on sale depending on the model you are looking for.

My condolences icon_sad.gif
