finally i was able to do my son's birthady cake. after nights with out sleeping thinking how to do it.

Wow, good job. You did an awesome job mixing your dark colors btw - I'm always bad at getting them dark enough but yours are terrific. I hope your son loves all your hard work!

Sorry to jump in here, but I manage to get my black very dark when I start with a chocolate buttercream. That's the only way I've ever tried it.
