Hi there,

I am in the middle of making a very large engagement cake (my first one)!! and am a bit nervous on how to transport this cake to the venue. The cake is a 3 tiered cake the bottom layer is about 18 inches and fruit cake, the other 2 layers will be sponge!! You see the cake needs to be in one piece when i decorate it, i cant assemble it there as i am planning to do scrolls all over it and also need to drop it off quite quickly. How an i transport this cake without it spoiling???

I'm sorry i don't have an answer for you but maybe someone more experienced can help you. The only thing i know is that you will have to dowel it really well.If you do a search for transporting cakes it may bring something up that could be helpful for you.
