I have an order for next week for a birthday cake, she is turning 40 and has left the decor up to me! I have no clue what I should do. I've looked through the galleries but have not come across anything yet. Does any one have a suggestion for a cake for a Classy black and white theme? It is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
IC

Gorgeous example tiptop57! I thought of that one too.

I would say keep it simple and understated...maybe white with black accents. Maybe a simple black bow and black border. Or even white with black brush embroidery or black scrolls. You can't go wrong with a classic and cleanly executed cake.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, I have definitely been inspired, I think I'm gonna try this one, I hope I can make it at least half as beautiful as this one.

Thanks again,
IC

Here are two from Jacques Pastries that I have always liked.

And I love this one from A&S Cakes

I borrowed their design and scaled down the size for this one.
