can I use?
Normally I make a bunny cake for Easter, but would like to try something new this year.
I was thinking of making a chick hatching out of an egg. If I had the egg pan I would use that for the chick, but since I don't want to run out and buy it, what else do you think would work?

Do you have a football pan? Or what about the sports ball pan w/ a 6" round in between? Are you wanting it to be 3D or flat on a cake board?

You can easily cut an egg shape out of a sheet cake. If you want to round the top pile the cake you cut off on top. I would mix it into a 'mush' with icing so it is 'moldable'.

I am thinking 3D. I think the idea of the ball pan (which I have icon_smile.gif ) with a 6" round in the middle would work. Plus then I could make it a cassata cake.
Thanks for the ideas!
