I saw on other posts that some suggested cooking the bottom part and then 2/3 of the way start the top. Would it be ok to just wait and cook the top speratley? How long can the batter just sit in the bowl? Thank you for any suggestions!
That should be fine. I've mixed batter for a cake, had some left over, popped it in the fridge while the cakes baked, and then used the remainder for cupcakes once the cakes were out.
I just read where a cc'er used the Wilton baking core in the bottom part of the big cupcake pan. This helped with baking the 2 sides of the pan equally timed.
