How in the world do you do this? I can get the top looking really nice but cannot seem to get the sides covered. I've tried 3 times and cannot seem to get the sides covered without making the tops look horrible and making a big mess Here's what I've tried:

Cake
-chilled
-frozen

Methods
-measuring cup to pour
-regular ladle
-smaller gravy ladle
-even smaller candy dipping ladle
-icing sides with spatula
-piping bag and #12 tip
-dipping

Poured icing recipes
-Wilton's poured icing
-Betty Crocker poured icing

On the upside, my dad has gotten a LOT of experiments lately!

Thanks so much for your help. If I can't figure out how to do this SOON, I will have to tell the lady that I can't do them. She only wants 1 icon_surprised.gif

I use a small squeeze bottle. As long as the top is perfect, the sides don't matter as much.
