Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am going to be covering cakes this weekend and I am totally new to caking. I need to cover a 10" and a 6" cake which will be stacked - but how do you decide how much fondant to start with? I need to color these tiers the same color so I have to cover the cakes from the same batch of color. Previously the fondant I used was all white so it didn't matter. This will be the first cake I make for my family so I want it to look nice!
