I know this is probably a crazy question as long as I have been here, but can someone tell me what a "Chocolate Mud recipe" is?

There is a cake, Chocolate Mud Cake, here is a link to a good one:

But, I wonder if you mean chocolate clay?

Chocolate clay is a mixture of melted chocolate and corn syrup. I makes a product similar to Tootsie rolls. It can be used for decorations, and even rolled to cover a cake.

There are recipes int he recipe section.

Chocolate mud cake is a very popular cake recipe in Australia as some aussie CCers can attest.

JoAnne I was referring to the choc. mud cake but I thought it was something different than like the Miss Mud cake. I have made those for years! Thanks!

A mud cake is best served cold from the fridge, and is a great dessert cake loved by us aussies. It's also a great cake for 3D work, because it is the densest cake you will ever find! Best eaten with a little frosting, think rich, not sugary, and best if not torted or only once in most peoples opinion. A good recipe needs no filling because it is not dry at all.
