Meringue Frosting (not meringue buttercream):
(No fat, but not very stable.)

(Can use meringue powder.)

Are you looking for an icing to pipe and decorate with or just an icing? I use cool whip to ice angel food cake. I usually torte, cut out a well then fill with strawberries ( or any type berry ) mixed with splenda to give a little juice then ice put other layer on top ice the whole thing making peaks with the cool whip and then add sliced strawberries for garnish. It makes a very pretty presentation too. I have used a wafer paper sign on a skewer to say happy birthday. I keep it refrigerated and serve cold. It is my boss and his family's favorite.because they diet a lot. I figured it out for them and it is about 2 weight watcher points per slice.
