My grandson would like me to make a spiderman cake for his 5th birthday and I saw so many great ones here - does anyone have the instructions for the spiderman bust made I think with a head from a wig shop? I guess you must cover it with fondant? It will blow him away but I will have to work on it to make it look anything near like your pictures here.
Thanks for any info you can give me... I have about 3 weeks to get it together.

I just made one for my son's birthday. I covered the head with buttercream and smoothed it with Viva paper towels. It looked almost as good as fondant.
