I want to make a styrofoam moon for a Twinkle Little Star cake, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Can someone start me off in the right direction. How do I cut stryofoam if I need to cut it? Thanks.

buy a circle of styrofoam

get cake pan of same diameter.

off set pan on top of styrofoam -- the exposed part will be the moon....

adjust until you like the shape.

trace edge of pan w/ pen/pencil/maker onto styrofoam.

cut styrofoam w/ knife. test scrap area w/ serrated and smooth edge to see which works best for type of styrofoam you bought (yes -- there are differences in foams and how they cut. easiest, if you have it, is the hot wire method, but for safety that MUST be done outdoors or in a very well ventilated area where fumes are drawn away from you as you work)
